Office of Curriculum & Instruction

The Office of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment collaborates with educators, school leaders, and other stakeholders to support curriculum development, evidence-based instructional practices and assessment design all aimed at enhancing student learning.

We have a number of guiding documents that are essential for establishing uniform and effective educational practices in our supervisory union . They offer a structure for developing the curriculum, implementing instructional techniques, and assessing student performance, ensuring that every student enjoys a high-quality learning experience.

The Portrait of the Graduate (POG) is our vision statement developed with input from students, educators, parents, and community members that outlines the essential skills and competencies students should have upon graduation. These skills and competencies serve as the lens to shape the learning journey for all grade levels.

Learning Framework

The WSESU Learning Framework outlines the dispositions and practices that are emphasized in all Windsor Southeast learning environments. The four areas—transfer of learning, student-centered approaches, content and curriculum, and essential conditions for learning—are built on the shared belief that deep learning occurs when empowered learners use higher-order cognitive skills to build long-term understanding and connections in a supportive, challenging learning environment.
