IT Services

Windsor Southeast Supervisory Union is committed to providing students with ubiquitous technology access to improve student learning opportunities. All classrooms, libraries, and other areas of all buildings have Gigabit Internet and access to centrally located services through a combination of wired and wireless connectivity. Students have access to technology in libraries, dedicated computer labs, mobile carts, and classrooms along with wireless access throughout our schools to support our thriving 1:1 laptop programs across the SU.

The SU Information Technology Services department administers Google Apps as our SU-wide email, calendaring, and collaboration system for all staff and students in grades K-12, the PowerSchool Student Information System, which provided grades and schedules in real-time to faculty, students, and parents, the student health information system, SNAP, a HelpDesk ticketing system, and the Alexandria library catalog.

A major goal at Windsor Southeast Supervisory Union is to enhance curriculum and instructional practice through the integration of technology across the curriculum. A significant amount of time is being allocated for technology related professional development activities before and after school, and during teacher in-service days. We believe that these trainings will not only add value to instruction, but more importantly it will provide our students with additional modalities of learning that have been proven to enhance understanding of concepts learned in class. Our faculty continually develop lessons that integrate technology to enhance curriculum and instruction. At any given time in all schools across the SU, students and staff are working together utilizing scientific probes, digital microscopes, collaborating together using cloud resources, creating musical scores online, using interactive whiteboards, and editing video and animation projects.
